Steven McCullough to Join Safer Foundation as Chief Operating Officer

CHICAGO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On September 7, 2010, Steven McCullough will join Safer Foundation as the new Chief Operating Officer.

B. Diane Williams, Safer President / CEO, stated that "the addition of Mr. McCullough to Safer's team will provide the organization the opportunity to reinforce its growing number of employment-focused programs for people with criminal records."    

Mr. McCullough comes to Safer from Bethel New Life, a thirty-year-old, $17 million organization, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and President / CEO. While in charge of Bethel New Life, Mr. McCullough led a staff of over 350 to provide community organizing, supportive housing, child & family development and other services.

Mr. McCullough started his career with Quaker Oats in 1989 as a production supervisor and planner. He was promoted to the supply chain management team where he supported $400 million in annual sales.  He later worked for Anderson Consulting as a Senior Consultant.  Mr. McCullough then joined the Chicago Association of Neighborhood Development Organizations (CANDO) where he served as EVP / Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he directed the planning and operation of administrative functions.
